Keltrius and The Armor of God: Leon’s Story is the first installment of a fascinating series of books by author D.L Partee. The author aims to help inspire those that decide to take the journey of faith and get to know God more intimately.
In this genre-bending narrative, two angels, Leon and John, are commissioned by the Father from Heaven to go safeguard the lives of a young woman and her unborn child, on Earth. Unbeknownst to them, one of them would be the father of the unborn child. This is Leon’s first time going to Earth and he has no idea what awaits him. Anita, on the other hand, is a student whose self-absorbed boyfriend, Randy, is on a secret mission to destroy her and the unborn child. A series of events unravel that put Leon and John’s life at stake as they fight evil while trying to stop that intent on harming God’s unborn hero, Keltrius. Love too plays out against the odds in this charming yarn.
You know you have read a beautifully written story if the characters remain with you long after the reading is done. This book did just that for me. Leon is my favorite character. His dedication to his Father amidst trials and difficulties is heartwarming. The characters are all well thought of and one easily connects with them. The author displays the concept of right versus evil splendidly through the angels and demons present on Earth. The action scenes presented in the book are epic and the vivid descriptions make a reader feel as if they are part of the storyline.
I enjoyed reading this fast-paced novel. I especially loved how author Partee examines the topics of the goodness of God, the idea of faith, God’s mercy, love, and forgiveness. This book presents a Christian superhero that even young readers will find easily relatable. Keltrius and The Armor of God: Leon’s Storyrevamps Bible stories in a way that makes one reflect on their own spiritual journey. Nevertheless, the book can benefit from another round of editing across the chapters.
Keltrius and The Armor of God: Leon’s Story by D.L Partee is a fascinating book that should make its debut in movie theaters. I look forward to reading more of this author’s books.
