About the Author
She has always wanted to be a nurse since the age of seven, at first she wanted to be a theatre nurse or a midwife. She grew up in various places in the world, Including Hong Kong when it was under British rule and in the UK. It wasn’t until she stumbled into a large group home for people with learning disabilities in Missouri USA that she decided, she wanted to nurse in this field. Returning back to the UK she qualified in 1993 as a Learning Disability Nurse. Feeling she wanted more out of nursing and a different challenge she enrolled in a distant learning course in Mental Health Nursing, whilst still working full time. She qualified in 2005. In 2007 a good friend suggested they should work in NZ. Despite the friend’s change of heart, with her thirst for a different country she carried on the process of immigration from the UK to NZ. In 2013 a few months before her 50th birthday an incident happened at work, she carried on not knowing the affect it would have on her. As she was preparing for a trip around the world she had other things on her mind. Gradually she silently withdrew until reality kicked in knocking her on her backside in 2016. In January 2017 she put pen to paper and started writing, not knowing it would lead her to publishing 2 books.
