Our language is based on using words to convey emotions for others to understand and the best way to express yourself is through poetry. Many may believe they’re not gifted enough to write some fine literature to share amongst their fellow men, but if writing from the heart the words would flow. Even though everyone is fit to be a writer, only those that leap into unapologetic grounds will strive and thrive. Some books aren’t for the faint-hearted and this could be amongst the list. How many people do you know that can maintain someone’s focus while discussing something in such a creative way that draws others to listen? That’s a gift that has been giving to a special few handpicked by our creator and this author is using her gift wisely. Perspectives are different for everyone, but one thing everyone should be able to agree on is wanting this world to be a beautiful place for all inhabitants. Unfortunately, at the rate things are going, it could be a serious difficulty in survival for many years to come.

In Romantically Erotic Deadly Spiritual Society, author Jennifer M. Garnatz expresses various emotions through the art of poetry. She grants her readers the ability to experience a world through her eyes, ears, and shoes, with a form of grace. Every poem can be relatable to anyone reading this book because there is at least one thing everyone has experienced some time or another. There’s a mixture of speaking with God, while others are about natural urges and lust. They are divided into categories, allowing reading enjoyment for everyone. When it came to erotic poems, it was expressed most delicately that it depends on one’s interpretation to fully comprehend what is being said. Author Jennifer M. Garnatz, has a talent for wordplay, something that her readers would find both intriguing and enjoyable. Communication is very important for everyone in the world, to be able to get multiple points across with her gift of words is a blessing. A poem titled “Regardless” tends to stand out because it talks about how everyone can be and do different things, but in the end were are all the same. Glad this was pointed out as people continue living life thinking they are better than the next person, which shouldn’t be the case.

There are messages within these poems and only those who take time to think about them would understand them better. Love, maintaining hope, praying to God, forgiving others, and repenting to be better versions of ourselves are amongst many things mentioned. Even though there are some erotic topics, the majority is encouraging everyone to love one another and to leave the world better than we found it. Positivity is spread throughout this book, which should make all readers feel at ease that they are reading in a happy tone. God is talked about without shoving her beliefs down anyone’s throat, although she does encourages the world to repent to gain access in the promised eternal life granted beyond the clouds, it’s nice to know that an option is available to those on the fence about religions. In the entire book, she remains true to her calling that no one can think otherwise.

I’m privileged to have the opportunity to read poetry from another fellow poet. Although I haven’t written poetry in a long time, I felt an immediate connection to the author with every word I read. I felt as if I were taken back to these moments in the author’s life, reliving situations that have occurred and I truly felt for her. The words expressed are very powerful with strong meanings behind them, including the mentions of her conversations with God. Some were a bit challenging to understand and it would be best to re-read a few times while dissecting for the meanings between the lines. She has personified objects and body parts, giving them life in the respective moments, which was very unique. This is a different style of poetry that I am not accustomed to and it was a nice change to experience a different style of writing.

Overall, it takes time to understand each poem’s meaning, but once you do you’ll realize that you’ve read masterpieces by a very talented individual. It’s commendable of the author to be bold and secure in expressing exactly how she feels with no filter. It gains respect that she doesn’t hold back for no one, in staying true to herself you can sense her authenticity as you read every page. If everyone can be as bold and unapologetic in today’s world, there would be plenty more where this book came from. I’d like to read more works by this author, she’s extremely talented and her wordplay is on point. I recommend this book to others who want to learn about another author’s unique writing style and begin to see life from a new perspective.
