About the Author

Rick Ryan has been an award-winning lyricist, poet and author for more than four decades. As a lyricist, he’s co-written dozens of songs for various recording artists, including the song “Shadowland,” which was featured on Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young’s first reunion album, “American Dream,” certified platinum in 1989. He’s published a book of poetry, “BORDERLANDS–Dark Visions of a Dark Age” and a novel, “Nuthouse,” loosely based on his work at the Arizona State Mental Hospital when he was eighteen.This is his second novel.
