There have often been times in a person’s life, most notably authors and writers, where they have brief moments of dreaming the words they are putting to paper would come to life before their eyes in the real world. As Walt Disney said, “You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.” Yet in author Rainie York’s book Quantum Leap, a young woman’s stories begin to come to life, turning her world upside down and questioning what reality truly is.
This novel follows a young woman named Rebecca, who spends her time writing about a fictional girl named Laney, who is every bit as outgoing and personable as Rebecca dreams she could be. After a confrontation with a classmate leads her to angrily write a new story of revenge against him, Rebecca is shocked to discover her story has come true. Slowly her new stories time and time again come to life, but as she discovers more about herself and her family history, Laney begins coming to life in Rebecca’s mind, conversing with Rebecca and causing the young girl to question her sanity. What is causing Rebecca’s stories to come to life? Find out in author Rainie York’s Quantum Leap.
