The stories in May Day: A Curse, in Black and White are hair-raising, chilling, and will have you scared in a minute. Scott is a brilliant author. He knows how to capture wild scenes and get the reader to experience the story as if the events are happening in real time. May Day: A Curse, in Black and White is the book you need to read if you enjoy daunting, creepy and sometimes unbelievable tales. You will enjoy the reading experience as the author is intriguing and his stories are attention grabbing. The beautiful narration, drama and action in the book will keep you hooked from the start to the last page.

Satanism is something normal people do not want to mess with. You can get swallowed in the chaos, sell your soul and act like a totally different person.  In May Day: A Curse, in Black and White, Satanism is threatening to spread all over. Believers from different religions have to join hands to defeat the evil sects that are set to destroy communities and their people. Meanwhile, abduction and murder are happening in other parts. Scott, a seasoned investigator is tasked with finding the abductors that took a young child, and also go after the people that committed murders. Following Scott and his team as they navigate through different terrains to catch the evil guys was exhilarating. The author knows how to capture every moment and to get the full attention of the reader through the narration.

What makes Scott stand out as an author is his ability to make the reader follow the story with ease.  There are a dozen mini stories in May Day: A Curse, in Black and White, but the reader does not lose the main storyline. The plot is wide but easy to follow. Characters in the book were great too, while following the story, you appreciate the development of Scott’s characters. Each one of them was in their element. Characters like Toby and Hermano were some of the characters that were exceptional in their roles. Scott was also great, and I enjoyed following him through his missions. Every character is distinct. One can judge how great the author is through the creation and development of his characters.

The twists and turns, drama, action, disappointment by characters, conflicts and flow of the storyline are among the features that made this book worth reading. You will love May Day: A Curse, in Black and White if you fancy detective stories and enjoy following bizarre and unsettling stories. Some of the major themes in the book were religion, crime, family, politics, betrayal, law enforcement, violence, and the underworld.  May Day: A Curse, in Black and White is entertaining, absorbing and fascinating. You will appreciate the work detectives and investigators do when dealing with crime. You will also love Scott not just as a character, but the hero every community needs.
