Thomas expresses a raw, honest, and lucid, spiritually based approach to clearing the roadblocks and healing rifts, which can be experienced within the marital relationship.
Moreover, this is a work based on author Beverly V. Thomas’s unexpected experiences within her own marriage, which includes a divorce, and then remarrying the same man some years later. Therefore, she comes from a perspective of grounded authority, when it comes to delving into the complex content she covers within the book.
Also, this is not a book that looks to point fingers or place blame, nor demonstrate weakness of character. Instead, it is a work of personal responsibility, fueled by acknowledging empowering biblical principles and written via her insightful biblical perspective. Where the word of God and steadfast faith held great importance, helping her through the painful trials and tribulations experienced within her broken marriage.
Additionally, throughout the book author Thomas, aptly demonstrates that marriage is always a work in progress as she explores the many factors that may influence the relationship both external and internal.
