About the Author
I was born in York, Pa., the oldest of seven children. In second grade, a talented friend who drew cartoons helped me to develop my talent. In 1981, I was inspired to create Shep the Sheep. At the time, there were no other sheep characters. The story is based on the parable of the lost sheep in the Bible, only with much added humor. I had given my life to Jesus Christ a few years before that. Even though I was raised in a Christian home, I went my own way. Jesus is now at the center of my life. I have a beautiful wife who keeps me on track. I work in a nursing home helping the elderly and serve at the church we have attended for 27 years. I also play guitar, banjo, harmonica and sing, doing church services and concerts. I have also recorded a children’s CD called “The Fantastic Forest Adventure.” Shep the Sheep is my first published book and I pray that it will both entertain and minister to those who read it.
