Jesus the Social Entrepreneur: Understanding both His Entrepreneur Mindset and Nature ‘Miracles’ is an entrepreneurial book with a touch of theology. The author discusses the life of Jesus and his miracles, and connects them to an entrepreneurial side, which is no doubt unfamiliar to many. Author Professor Emeritus L. Murray Gillin, AM does an impeccable job enlightening the reader about biblical events and real-life scenarios which require wisdom and faith relations. This book is interesting because of how balanced the topics discussed, as the author does not dwell too much on the story of Jesus Christ, nor does he have too much entrepreneurial jargon.

Murray Gillin divided his book into two parts. The first part is about the mindset of Jesus as a social entrepreneur, while part two is about Jesus’ miracles. The four miracles discussed are Jesus and his transfiguration, how he turned water into wine, how he walked on water and how he made the storm still. Part one of the book was intriguing for me because the author showed me a different side of Jesus that I had not thought of. The entrepreneur perspective and how every concept was explained was genius for the author, as readers can more fully comprehend who Jesus was. The author’s use of social entrepreneurship assessment tools when expounding on topics was a great addition as it expands the readers’ minds and gets one to learn about new subjects.

Part two of the book was even more enjoyable because of how well the miracles are explained. Every miracle has its lessons, both biblical and entrepreneurial. Professor Emeritus L. Murray Gillin gives the reader the honor of seeing Jesus and his various degrees. Every miracle was specially written and thoroughly discussed. In part two, readers can see the link between the spiritual and physical dealings of Jesus. If you have any questions on how Jesus performed certain miracles, Murray Gillin has answers for you. I especially liked how the author discussed two miracles: walking on water and stilling the storm. These two miracles helped me understand Jesus better and how natural mechanisms of physics came into play.

Jesus the Social Entrepreneur: Understanding both His Entrepreneur Mindset and Nature ‘Miracles’ will make you the successful entrepreneur that you desire to be. Murray Gillin’s words will change your mindset and give you a clear vision of what path to take. With the biblical and real-life examples, the reader is able to discern the different dimensions in Christology and connect them to mortal activities. If you previously thought that the spiritual and physical sides had no connection, then the author is here to prove you wrong.

Professor Emeritus L. Murray Gillin, AM. will effortlessly make you understand Jesus’ demeanor, nature, spirituality, miracles and entrepreneurship. The author’s writing is modest and easy to comprehend as he uses layperson’s terms in his explanations. I commend Jesus the Social Entrepreneur: Understanding both His Entrepreneur Mindset and Nature ‘Miracles’ because of the numerous lessons on entrepreneurship, theology, and, most importantly, how skillfully the author broke down the miracles, connecting them to life experiences and entrepreneurship.
