Authors Charles and Irene Jean Nickerson’s The Crossroads of Space and Time: Tiberius Maximus Adventure is a captivating science fiction novel for young readers about a fascinating but perilous journey across a frightening and enigmatic universe.
Newlyweds Ti Maximus and Babs Svedberg are tasked for a mission to the Aldrin System aboard the opulent spaceship Dream in the Night. Aldrin System is a territory that was acquired by the Bearilian Federation once they started interstellar space travel. The journey which will take them six months worries Empress Angelina, whose family was recently attacked and who feels that the same dangerous work they swore to never let their children do is exactly what they were sending them to do.
The Evil One, on the other hand, has been in great desire of the Key of Epoch, an antiquated artifact that unlocks the intersection of time and space. The key is said to allow a creature to travel anywhere and anytime in history. However, the fact that others have hunted for it in vain leads both Ti and Babs to believe that the key may not be existing. Tim is taken aback, however, when a hologram discloses to him a deep secret and explains how it ties to the expected fulfillment of his destiny in relation to the crossroad and the key.
In addition to skillfully providing and tying together a thorough backdrop on ancient discoveries and disclosures, the authors of this book have masterfully crafted a fascinating flow of events at the Andrin System. They have profoundly exploited concepts like wormholes and extraterrestrial races, blending them with a dark mystery. With the careful backdrop given at the beginning of the work, the story can stand and flow with finesse. By adding a hint of threat and danger in a new setting, the writers pique readers’ interest and suspense, making them wonder what may happen to the young heroes and their young marriage.
Every page of Charles and Irene Jean Nickerson’s intricate science fiction novel The Crossroads of Space and Time: Tiberius Maximus Adventure is jam-packed with amazing, mind-blowing prose. Its premise is breathtaking and fresh with an ending that is surprising, endearing, and perfect. It does the story justice, and I was thrilled with where it all went. This book is meant to be savored-reading – one or two chapters at a time with the reader pausing to enjoy the afterglow. Young aficionados of space opera and science fiction should not miss this!
