Synopsis

Alali (pronounced Ah-lah-lee) seemed to have it all—a loving family, a best friend, neighbors, and a community that made her life and the lives of other ocean creatures exciting. On one unusual day, however, calamity strikes! Nothing could have prepared Alali for the journey she has to endure in order to rescue her parents from the evil barracuda, Sobedel! Although he planned to destroy happiness from ocean life forever, Sobedel’s actions unintentionally teach Alali about a precious power she possesses. As you uncover the thrill of Alali’s journey, concentrate on the many talents you possess. When you discover these talents, the hope is that you will find the same happiness, joy, and celebration of your talents as Alali, which means all three of these, wrapped up in one beautiful package.

About the Author

Author Biography Betty Hall is an ardent fan of children’s literature. She found her passion for reading at the early age of seven. As a young child growing up in Rivers State, Nigeria, Betty Hall frequented the Port Harcourt Public Library where she often journeyed away from her reality to those of outstanding authors. Although these authors paved the way for her love of reading and writing at an early age, Betty Hall became aware of her creativity in using words in written form while enrolled as a doctoral student at the University of Phoenix. This realization inspired the publication of her first book, I Am Wonderfully Created Prematurely. Betty Hall lives in the United States where she has lived for the past 37 years, teaching young children in Georgia’s Public Schools for the past 30 years.
