Synopsis

Tied to a life she did not chose, Janet was a lost, forgotten, and an unwanted child. Janet tells a descriptive story of who and how prominent figures in her childhood set her on a path of destruction, and eventually to find a way out. Janet moves through life, sharing with the reader, what she lived through and her ability to survive no matter what. After a childhood filled with abuses from the people who should have cared for her, Janet carried her childhood scars into adult life. Feelings of being unlovable and abandoned follow Janet through the book. Janet’s message is to let others know, they are not alone, and there is healing and hope. Mark Twain Quote: Life does not consist mainly, or even largely, of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the storm of thoughts that is forever blowing through one’s head.

About the Author

I am a first-time author. With a story to tell. When young I felt invisible. Nothing made sense. I lived like a broken child; Surviving sexual, emotional, and physical abuses. Suicide was often the option to stop the pain. This book is meant to bring hope to people who have suffered trauma and tragedy and to let others know there is a place for all of us to heal. Sharing openly about struggles and what kept me going when things were bad. I gained recognition for my writing in college. I am an avid reader. Unintended Consequences is my story.
