Synopsis
Little things occur regularly, forbidding us to recognize their significance. What ultimately causes them to blossom into sweetness is their fading away. Little things go quietly without fanfare, yet they are the substance of life. The seasons of our lives are made up of the stuff that went before. Nothing is truly lost. As one picture begins to fade, another begins to dawn.
About the Author
Richard Alan Crousey, of Latrobe, was born in Homestead, PA Nov. 28, 1948 – an early baby boomer. The family soon moved to Monroeville a few miles east of Pittsburgh where he spent a rather idyllic childhood. It was there that his inquisitive and pensive nature appeared. Rick was a gentle non-conformist always looking for more….for reasons……for truth. That inquisitive mind served him well. Rick was greatly influenced by the writings of CS Lewis and other Christian apologists and will be remembered as a sensitive thinker who challenged others to continue searching for God until they found Him. Following graduation from Grove City College he entered the work force as a mechanical engineer for US Steele then for Latrobe Specialty Steel. He was a member of the Tree of Life Assembly of God, where he served as an elder and taught Sunday school. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and canoeing. He was also a history buff. Richard went home to the Lord at age 61 on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at his residence after a three year battle with appendicile cancer. His wife and 4 grown children survive and carry his memory to his eleven grandchildren.
Richard is loved and missed by his wife, Marilyn D. (Thomas) Crousey, of Latrobe, their four children and eleven grandchildren; Cambric Parks and her husband, Tony, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; children: Brayden, Kyler, Liam and Caelyn; Caleb Crousey and his wife, Melissa; of Greensburg; sons Kaden and Preston; Joshua Crousey and his wife Jiaying, of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters Jaclyn and Janica; and Rodrick Crousey and his wife, Amy, of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters Claire, Katheryn and Evelyn; one sister, Karen Tribou owner of Plumline Nursery in Murrysville.
