Author Spotlight: Success as an Introvert for Dummies

Joan Pastor, Ph.D., president of JPA International, Inc., is one of five people worldwide who is licensed as both an industrial organizational and clinical psychologist. She has been an international speaker, trainer and coach since 1979. Joan is well-known for her stellar keynotes, leadership coaching and facilitation of executive and management groups to become high-performing, collaborative teams that achieve true, measurable results in their organization. Joan is also well-versed and experienced in working with the entertainment and not-for-profit industries. Her work in entertainment began with a popular radio show in Philadelphia as well as providing career and performance development coaching to artists and entertainers since 1980 and has expanded consistently over the years and includes consultation to studios, and Grammy, Emmy and Oscar winners. She has a long history with the not-for-profit world, and she and her family have set up two foundations in memory of her sister Beki, one at UCSF and the other with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Foundation. Other not-for-profit organizations that Joan has worked with include Feed the Children, Women in Film, Center of Creative Leadership, Jewish Family Services, as well as numerous city, state and government agencies, universities and educational institutions.
