About the Author

Verona Willis–Brown, a native of St. Andrew, Jamaica now lives in Yonkers, New York. A single mother of one beautiful daughter, Davina and the founder of NOT YOUR COMPETITION: A Youth Empowerment Program (Jamaica) to help motivate students into their greatness. She has earned her public speaking certificate from the Les Brown Institution and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The College of New Rochelle. In her free time she likes to read, write, practice yoga, listens to must and travel. She has the burning desire to impact one youth at a time, and a gift to encourage and motivate as many people as she can.
