In Karen’s life, she’s experienced a lot of heartbreak and disappointment. The baby, whom she names Cari Moses, was found abandoned in the woods, and she decides to take care of it. Although Cari becomes Karen’s life’s center of gravity, she is unaware of the devastation her actions have left in their wake. Karen’s personal grief and deception are inextricably linked to the activities of a serial killer who is fascinated by pregnancy. In this world of contrasts, the hopes and aspirations of youth are entwined with despair and depravity, and the players are caught between the two.
Along the way, they must deal with human frailty and discover what it takes to be extraordinary. Dueling personalities are on display in this psychological thriller, as ruthless ambition and dubious talent of amateurs are pitted against professional flaws. From midwifery to the intensive care unit, Cari Moses takes place in a world of meandering rivers and bustling cities. A national police alert creates havoc, while
Karen’s progress toward discovery and retribution leaves her relationships in shambles, and evil lurks in the shadows.
Author Judith Tyler Hills created the book Cari Moses for older audiences due to the nature of its main theme. The author uses excellent third-party narration as well as other forms of style such as dialogue to bring out the story. The use of excellent wording also ensures the reader is engaged from the first page to the last. Although the existence of many characters may deter the reader from the main story, it ensures the reader won’t get bored since there are many characters to delve into. Apart from this, the story is in itself woven expertly and promises to keep the reader engaged. I highly recommend the book for lovers of thrillers and mystery.
