Blood, vengeance, treachery, and betrayal make up this high-octane novel and the first offering by author Dr. Hal Bradley DD.

CODE NAME: The FOX: Operation Tucson Cartel (A Harold Brandon Series) is the first installment in the “Code Name: The Fox” series. When Harold Brandon, a former drug lord who had turned into a minister is contacted by the Department of Justice again, he accepts to be an undercover operative for them.

As a rule, Harold always tried to separate his life as a minister from his life as a DOJ contractor but it didn’t always turn out in his favor. His main push was to deliver those that are engulfed in the tentacles of a ruthless cartel whose tendrils reached as far as South America. His main job entailed helping take possession of a load of cocaine surfacing in the US allegedly heading to a Canadian market.

With a team of versatile and proficient men, Harold, who is unusually adept at his chosen work, becomes embroiled in a hard-bitten and obdurate labyrinth that stretches from the cities, mountains, and deserts of Mexico to Arizona’s desert plains. Hoping that every mission will be his last, it slowly dawns on him that there may be a heavy price to be paid in his mission.

Make no mistake, Dr. Bradley has written a page-turner that is a winner in all ways. The masterstroke of this text is the protagonist’s moral aesthetic influences that play out as the book buds and will almost inevitably rub off on readers. Further, it is filled with a descriptive and crisp literary style that tackles modern-day issues. The inventive plot does not tally in its beginning and throws readers right into the heat of the storyline.

The crown of literature is its aptness to inspire, educate and entertain at the same time. CODE NAME: The FOX: Operation Tucson Cartel (A Harold Brandon Series) does this and much more. Sensitive readers may want to be advised this novel has the presence of a few graphic scenes. That notwithstanding, it’s a brilliantly written text filled with unforgettable characters and capped with an astonishing climax. Readers who love thrillers that defy quick solutions will find Operation Tucson Cartel (A Harold Brandon Series a staple on their shelf.
