Author Norman B Talsoe is a man with a mission. God commissioned him with teaching and inspiring the faithful on what is necessary to be prepared for the end times, the second coming of Christ, and life in heaven. With his work in God, The Here and the Hereafter: The Way to Heaven he accomplishes just that.
Wholly, (no pun intended) this is a work of profound magnitude as the notion of writing this book came as a directive from God, through a dream. Albeit, a seemingly impossible task in the mind of author Talsoe who was in his eighties at the time. However, it was through a series of synchronicities that cemented this directive from God and started him on his authorship journey. Leading to the ultimate result of a spiritually edifying narrative which dutifully guides the devoted through the timeline of the events in the book of revelations as well as educating on the way to true salvation as per God’s word.
Specifically delving into the last seven years of tribulation until the return of Christ, this expansive work puts the reader on notice about maintaining faith, and its transformative power. Additionally, Norman B. Talsoe offers the example of his faith, experiences, and insights which altogether presents a scholarly but comprehensible approach to the apocalypse fueled by an enlightening mix of biblical verse, history, maps, diagrams and poetry. Moreover, each of the perspectives of three titled elements of the book; God, The Here, and The Hereafter divides the book into three unique and scholarly biblically based sections. First God explores many topics including; the atheist, the old and new covenant blood relationship, Gods Vs Satan, Salvation, Astronaut Gods and much more. Next, The Here delves into the current conditions on earth that will affect salvation. And the final section; The Hereafter looks at the experience of tribulation including Born again believers, False Worship, The returned Christ’s judgments, as well as the final battle.
Overall, I enjoyed the subject matter in God, The Here, and The Hereafter: The Way to Heaven by author Norman B. Talsoe. Not only was the work throughout this book insightful as well as inspirational, but his backstory of being a published author at 91 made this book a true inspiration on multiple levels. His work in this book is well-written, revelatory, and thorough in its detailing of biblical verse, history and events. This book helped to clarify the complicated topic of the Book of the Revelations as well as what it takes to get into heaven.
I do recommend this book to any spiritually inclined reader, it is a wealth of knowledge. Talsoe has written a book that is an easy-to-read book with a big message. Christians around the world can effectively use God, The Here, and The Hereafter: The Way to Heaven to deepen and strengthen their relationship with Christ.
