How God Thinks by author David Vancelette is an enlightening religious book which will not only help you in your spiritual journey, but also enable you see the power in believing. David Vancelette writes from an informed point of view and analyzes various circumstances objectively. How God Thinks is a powerful book and a guide not just for Christians but all believers that trust in God as the Supreme Being. You get to learn about the Bible, God, and humanity. The author talks about different symbols God uses to communicate to his people, and how human beings interpret the word of God.
In this book, readers are taken on a step by step lesson where the author introduces relevant topics which will help people in their journey in faith. David Vancelette is an amazing author because he talks freely and openly about topics that some Christians consider being a taboo. As a reader, you get to be introduced to topics that are sometimes difficult to discuss. The author talks about contemporary issues such as: sex and sexuality, polygamy, marriage, abortion, the meaning of life, divorce and idol worship among other things. What I like about the author is that he does not exaggerate when discussing issues. He speaks his truth, is modest throughout the discussions and tries to get the reader to understand where he is coming from. David Vancelette is an excellent author for he is rational and writes based on facts only.
There are many subjects in the book which I enjoyed reading about. The chapters on detestable symbolism, how God doesn’t think and broken symbolism and final judgment were among my favorite. The author was profound and I resonated with everything that he discussed. What I admired the most about David Vancelette is how his writing had that personal touch. One could almost feel his presence when he talked about symbolism and the many other things that he discussed. The author uses a gentle tone that encourages the reader to dig deeper into the book. The content in How God Thinks is refreshing. By the end of the reading, you get to learn more about the creator, how he thinks, how he does not think and how to interpret symbolism in your life.
There is so much wisdom in between the text. One of my favorite elements in the book was how the author talked of biblical stories and made comparisons with contemporary situations. David Vancelette understands how important the Bible is for every Christian and by selecting a few stories from the Bible, he subconsciously encourages the reader to read more of the holy book. The wording in the book and arrangement of chapters was another appealing element in How God Thinks. The writing is powerful and David Vancelette drives the message of symbolism and the love of God in a unique manner.
