The women’s friendship grows even stronger when they meet Professor Dee who discovers Elsie’s Tanka box holding ancient wisdom. The kind of wisdom which can only be revealed in Shamballa with the Dalai Lama. Now the women must travel to the beauty of the Himalayas to find out the wisdom within the box. Could it be total enlightenment or the secret to eternal happiness? Or will it be something more?
Author Tara White opens the world to something greater than ourselves in Mystery of the Ninth Moon. She provides readers with ideas and thoughts to something beyond what the earthly world can provide. We follow two women on their own personal journeys to a higher knowledge and wisdom. They grow together as friends but also individually.
It’s a beautiful tale of not only friendship, but also sisterhood. Mystery of the Ninth Moon has the ability to touch the readers in a way that can change their way of thinking. White creates characters that are not only believable, but they are relatable as well. One can see themselves being friends with these women and interacting with Chakra.
Readers will find this novel pleasing and feel completely satisfied once they have finished it. There isn’t the feeling of being left hanging or having numerous unanswered questions. Tara White wraps everything up with a nice little bow. It is a great story to put on some soft jazz, and curl up on the couch with. Tara White’s writing a beautifully lyrical; one can almost hear the soft chanting in the Himalayas or the soothing voice within Elsie’s mind. This is a beautiful, evenly paced tale that takes readers away. It definitely a novel in which one could escape to and enjoy.
When you open the pages to Mystery of the Ninth Moon you step into a world of spiritualism and self-discovery. There are things within this novel that will make readers want to learn more about such as the Dalai Lama and his practices, Tanka boxes, and even palmistry. Right from the start it catches your attention and captivates you through to the end. This is a fantastic novel that deserves to be on many bookshelves.
