John R. Carden executed his novel with compelling characters that enrich and entice the readers to read more from this author. This 250 page novel is pure unadulterated storytelling causing readers to eagerly want more novels and stories from Mr. Carden. He makes his presence known with this novel and will continue to entertain readers with tales of adventure.
John R. Carden pays a lot of attention to detail and paints a beautiful picture for his readers. It’s almost as if one is watching a movie unfold within their imagination. He draws readers into a whole new world. Even if most of the story takes place on Earth, he provides a new vision of it. He gives readers a story they can absorb into as if they are Zina experiencing life on earth, such as helping Stan after he falls or when she helped the Claw Cat. The story is very fast paced and one could find themselves finishing this in one or two sittings. There is something for everyone within this novel, some action, adventure and even a little bit of romance.
Readers of all ages will find One Time Winner to be a satisfying read on all levels. This novel delivers a wonderful story with wonderful characters that will suck you into the tale right from the first page. Once one begins reading this novel they won’t regret it. One Time Winner: The Empress Emeritus Zinabar! is one of those novels you pick up on a rainy day and get lost in it.
