This is the perfect read for those who enjoy non-fiction books, especially those who enjoy books on medicine and medical treatments that have more of an “Eastern medicine” understanding. This book also will speak to those who enjoy history and culture, and exploration of the historical significance of medical practices we still utilize today. The way the author touched upon how other cultures may have come to learn and utilize acupuncture in their own ways, even if not practiced consistently throughout their history, was remarkable to see, especially when reports of those injured in battle due to swords or arrows inadvertently hit acupuncture points and helped in the healing process came to light within the book.
