Evolution is definitely possible; however, no one talks about where the raw materials for evolution came from. The evolution vs. creation conversation has been ongoing for years. With each side clinging to their opinions and beliefs, never letting go. Author Michael Ebifegha chimes in with his own contribution to the conversation. He believes that discrediting the creation idea is Satan’s way of turning human beings away from God. There is some truth to this. Both creation and evolution could be true. But many are focused on taking either side with the pro-evolution side rejecting any and all possibility of God’s six days of creation. He also discusses, in detail, other subjects of Christianity like the Sabbath as well as the controversy surrounding the commandment about observing the Sabbath.

The author of this book does not simply expect the reader to believe him because he wrote and published a book. He backs his opinions and declarations with Bible verses. His stance on how the world came to be is pro-creation and he takes the time to explain his side of the argument with patience and in simple language. While he speaks firmly against those who intentionally misunderstand the Sabbath law and baselessly dismiss the creation theory, he does not chastise the reader for not realizing the origin of these subjects within the Bible. His is a passionate explanation of how these subjects interrelate. The author does not write from a fanatical standpoint as many have done, he acknowledges other sources of information and even refers to Darwin and Albert Einstein. Clearly, what he lacks in credibility he more than makes up for in his extensive research.

This is a well-written book with important information and contributes to two long-standing debates. However, the author has labeled his book with a very long title. The choice of words in the title can be a little daunting. However, we have always been warned against judging a book by its cover. Reading beyond the title will reveal an interesting subject written beautifully and backed heavily by scripture.

The Bible can be confusing to read as one may not always find exactly what they are looking for. This book is a guide to finding which sections of the Bible discuss how the world came to be as well as the law of the Sabbath. Therefore, it is a book meant for anyone who has ever been caught in the crossfire between people who believe the Sabbath is meant only for Jews, or those who were passionately discussing creation vs. evolution. This book provides a deeper and more detailed understanding of these two subjects. The book also highlights, quite significantly, that subjects are not limited to certain books of the Bible. For example, how many people believe creation is only discussed in Genesis.

Most importantly, the reader will gain a higher appreciation for their faith, and God in general after reading this book. For his calm, inspiring and convincing discussion of the subject as well as his dedication that drove him to scour the Bible for every bit of God’s word that made Satan’s Shadow in Abrahamic Religions what it is.
