The heart of this book is emotional intelligence, where the authors showcase how to identify not only other personality traits, but the personality and emotions of oneself as well, and lays out a framework for how to bring these varying personalities together.

The authors do a fantastic job of blending a truly authentic and personal voice to the writing itself while giving readers a detailed and guided account of the practices and behaviors needed to utilize while taking on a leadership role and taking over as a leader. The focus on emotional intelligence was one of the biggest draws of the book early on, and the authors do a great job of exploring the various differences in personalities on a business team, and how to find the right resources to highlight when searching for ways of bringing teams together. The amount of detail and examples the authors provide to readers as they set up their business model for leaders today were inspiring to see, as it helps readers see practical uses for the techniques they are teaching in this book.

This is the perfect read for those who enjoy non-fiction books, especially those which focus on business, communication within business, workplace culture and self-improvement overall. As someone who has begun a process of becoming their own entrepreneur, I found the techniques and tools the authors provided a truly helpful insight to incorporate into my future when I someday may lead a team of my own.
