“This book is for those people who are willing to let go of fear and step into a new paradigm.” This paradigm, as defined by the author, encompasses the acronym IN-OWT or INside-OWT. The acronym, which stands for Immerse. Notice. Own. Willingness to Play. Trust, is a five-step process that teaches us to “listen and be guided” by our soul to a “healthy, joyful and meaningful life.”
How do we make this paradigm adjustment? By shifting our perspective from being guided by the external to the internal; by accessing our innate ability to listen to our “inner knowing.” We can all choose to become an empowered human by integrating wisdom that, for most of us, lays dormant in our soul just waiting to be unlocked.
The guidance in this book resonates because the author has done her own spiritual healing. She grew up in affluence, but quite often felt something was missing. By her own admission she was taunted and teased by her peers, snubbed by those who exhibited a sense of entitlement. Years later, a school exchange program landed her in India and a transformative experience that was the beginning of a new way of living that eschewed much of the Western culture she had grown up in and embraced the radiance and peace found in the “Inner world.”
Indicators that we are disconnected from our inner being are health issues, precipitated in part by not truly looking to understand the underlying cause of an affliction. Ms. Bozohara explains her own journey to uncover the cause of plaguing health issues. She explains that body symptoms are “dear friends and divine messages,” the soul’s way of reaching out to “get our attention” and change our behavior and outlook. Instead of heeding these divine messages, we often treat the symptoms of illness through a barrage of ways that include drugs, surgery, denial or just not acknowledging that emotional and spiritual health brings with its physical well-being. Her remedy: to look deeply at what actually “is” happening our lives, to find the truth of any situation because truth serves “our growth and development of our soul.”
The why and how of the IN-OWT practice is explained in simple terms with user-friendly implementations. There is a workbook at the end with guidelines and tools, definitions, a detailed explanation and interpretation of the acronym, all of which is designed to foster success as you embark on this new path and way of life. Pages of references are provided for further reading, as are websites for additional information.
There is quite a bit to contemplate in this book, but if you’re looking to change the tenor of your life it is well-worth the effort to read and absorb the gift this author provides to a new way of thinking, behaving and living. This book is inspirational, interesting and informative. It gives great life lessons, and allows the reader to think deeply about who they are, why they exists, and the very purpose of their being. I recommend this excellent book for anyone who truly desires to live a meaningful life which involves sharing your knowledge and skills with other human being in the world.
