If you ever need to read a fictional book about friendships, forming communities, and living in harmony, then look no further as author Kennar Tawnee Chasny wrote an absorbing and captivating book. His charming words, the direction of the plot, and his endearing writing style all make this book great. Ting! The Silent Warning will make you take a break from everything else because of how good the story is. The author’s words are convincing; you can almost feel as if you are reading a real-life story of characters you have met. When it comes to characters, Kennar Tawnee Chasny had the most delightful array of personalities; the quiet characters, the aggressive, those who displayed massive amounts of wisdom, the go-getters, hard nuts to crack, and everything in between. You can already feel that, Ting! The Silent Warning, is a wholesome work as soon as you begin reading.
We follow the stories of two amazing women, Lily and Joanne. While the two turn out to be great friends, they are from different backgrounds; I thoroughly enjoyed that their differences in mindset became a blessing in the end, as they got to form a bond which many admired. Lily is a skilled artist. Her work is admirable, and she lives a pretty good life in the city. She, however, decides to relocate to the mountains to live in a cabin which her grandparents once owned. Joanne has been living in the mountains. She has a decent cabin of her own, which she acquired ever since she became a widow. Life may not be all rosy in the mountains, but one can feel the calm and freshness in the air. The two women are out to enjoy their simple lives until something terrible happens.
There is a man whose sole mission is to commit a crime and strong-arm the community in the mountain. This becomes a headache for the two women and everyone else in the community. How do they deal with a crook who is threatening their peace? This is where you see the importance of friends, social circles, and the benefits of having a tight-knit community. I like how Kennar Tawnee Chasny developed the characters of the two women. The readers get to understand where each comes from, their thinking process, and even why they chose the lives they are living. The twists and mysteries make the novel more entertaining. The story has a bit of paranormal effects, which was a great addition – as it is something I never expected.
Ting! The Silent Warning is a terrific book because you get to place yourself in the characters’ shoes. As a fictional work, you probably expect some parts of the book to have wild exaggerations, but on the contrary, Kennar Tawnee Chasny writes about happenings as if they are in the real world. Crime, death, law, mystery, love, and family all transpire in real life. This is an excellent feel-good book if you are looking for that fiction book with suspense, mystery, and awesome characters.
